blah 7:19 PM

This morning, my father went bowling with colleagues. So unfair!!! But he missed church. After church, we came back. I went straight to the xbox. First, I played winning 11. It's the satisfaction of winning that keeps me playing. Then, after some time, my sis came by. I switched to racing. My sister is a very cute person when it comes to the xbox. When she wants the car to swerve left, the whole controller turns. I realised I am very pro at that game, especially with drifting. I never realised before.

Die!!! I'm referring to myself... 3:47 PM

I'm deader than a corpse. There's two weeks of music lesson left before registration opens for Grade 7 exam. But my arrangement is crapped... I didn't even start. These are my songs: Golliwog's Cakewalk, Salad Song and Trumpeter's Serenade. Golliwog's Cakewalk is very very shaky, Salad Song has been mastered and Trumpeter's Serenade hasn't been touched for months but it's easy. No more procrastinating now... Yes yes, I know I'm wasting my time on this blog post but there is a teeny weeny bit of time to spare for this.

It's gone!!! 9:58 PM

This afternoon, I went to NUSHS to collect a form to take French in lieu of Malay. After that, I met my dad at Jurong East to go to Acer Service Centre to get my laptop checked. My internet was not working and the ODD wasn't opening. These problems came after the motherboard was changed last week. Apparently, a screw from the cooling fan had gone near the previous motherboard, creating a short circuit. After waiting for about 30 minutes, they said they will repair the motherboard instead of changing it since they had no more stock left. Gah... We waited so long just to leave it there.
Later, in the evening, we went for Aunt Yvonne's birthday party. Not fair! She had so many cakes. After eating, a little boy came up to me and said: "I want to kiss you." What the hell man!!! It was 'catching'. Luckily, all he kissed was my T-shirt. Earlier, I watched the news and found out that the Singaporean hostage in Mumbai has been killed. My mum was like: "Poor thing... She said she was ok."

Depressing News 4:16 PM

I watched the news on CNN this morning at my cousins' place. In bold, it said: "Breaking News: Mumbai attacked by series of blasts". Hostages were held by terrorists in Taj Mahal Hotel and Oberoi Trident Hotel. The blasts occurred at about 10 other places frequented by Westerners. It was an unpleasant sight. But, authorities believe all hostages have been freed in the Taj Mahal Hotel.
Anyway, later, I left when it was time to. When I came out of the lift, I saw three people come out of the other lift. They didn't see me. One of them wore a Rosyth PE attire. With her hair tied in two plaits, she looked familiar. It was Nicole Tan!!! I was shocked. Why, out of so many places in the world, did I have to see her right below my cousins' apartment? Nvm, no big deal...

RI Invitationals 9:31 PM

Rosyth lost the Raffles Invitationals title to Cat. High this afternoon. It was a fiery and tight debate but the P5s didn't succeed. But it's alright... They have gained a lot of experience throughout this journey.
I forgot to bring my consent form today and I thought I escaped. But no! Mrs Koh called my mum just to hear her say: "I allow my son, Julian Chris Lopez, to attend the Raffles Invitationals." After the call, Samuel was bashing my ear drums. He blasted my mp3 without consent and I almost turned deaf. Fortunately, I didn't.
The semi-final was against RG and the judges' unanimous decision favoured our team. But the motion seemed slanted. THW make literature compulsory and our team was prop. ?!?! For lunch, we had to treat ourselves in the RJC canteen. As usual, I wasn't hungry. I bought a drink instead. I suffered later... Terribly!!! Never mind about that.
And then, later at the finals, the judges decision of a Cat. High win was a 3-2. We just needed one more judge to favour Rosyth.
My parents want me to take French as second language. If it's approved, I have a choice to take in MOELC or NUS High. Which should I pick? NUS High is more convenient sometimes but most of my friends will be in MOELC.

Nothing interesting these days... So I decided to say hi.

16 hours, 36 mins 7:24 PM

Yesterday, we woke up early to see someone who just delivered in the hospital. The baby was so cute and tiny. And when I carried her, she cried loudly. Sigh... It's not my fault that I'm boney/bony and not soft.
Today, tournament began. I crashed!!! My China-born opponent was the fifth seed, he was super tall and fast. Even a smashing master had no chance to display his skill... But Joshua, Marvin and Lewis progressed to the next round. Lewis and Joshua didn't have easy opponents though. But congrats to Lewis for making it to the second round for the first time. Good luck to all of you...

yums 7:13 PM

Yesterday first... First, we listened to the last speech we'd hear from Mrs Ng. Then, Harnek Singh came on stage for his turn. His speech was funny because of his funny accent. Then, we had the prize-giving.
Teacher: "P6 Victorious, 1st in class - Nicole Tan Su Yee. Unforunately, she is absent today. 2nd in class - Samuel Teo Wei Kiat. But he is not present either. 3rd in class - Muhammad Haikal bin Abdullah Zain. He is not here with us today. I-Care champion, Goh Weiying. I don't think she is here today." And then, someone walks on stage... "Whoops!!!"
Today, we went to Suntec for The Food Safari and Home Electronics Fair. There was so much of nice food. From Turkish to Japanese to Indian... And we had Turkish ice cream. Those people came to our school before for International Friendship Week. And they performed their same old trick... They'll hold out the cone before you but snatch it away before you get it. Gosh, those evil evil EVIL people!!! Some customers behind were even laughing at me. Eviler... Argh!

Graduation Concert 3:11 PM

Today was the graduation concert for the P6 GE. It was perfect although it was not really properly planned. So we started with some words of wisdom from the wise us. Then, Kee Yong and Matthew Siew sang a song. It was not really that nice to me but considering Kee Yong had only two days to compose it, I would say it was excellent. Next, we all sang "At The Beginning" and Vernetta said some words after that. Finally, Mrs Esther Koh came up and gave us all the last lecture in Rosyth. We loved that long speech. But evil Ms VP popped in!!! That was equal to an encore...

Anyway, after the concert, we headed back to class for the last time. I felt something was not right when I was carrying my bag. Something was jutting out. GOSH!!! Someone slipped something into my bag. I was so touched. I felt like crying with it. But no, that isn't Julian. Beware! I'll take my revenge on that someone.

Later, after recess, hu lao shi allowed us to go to the IBC for some fun. At first, the boys planned their game. But the girls proposed ice-and-freeze. That was the probably last time I could enjoy in my own school. But Mrs Tong sent a messenger down to stop us from playing and asked us to go up. Damn! Sorry for cursing but we only played for 20 minutes at most. Argh... That's all, I guess.

part 2 of extended recesses 7:29 PM

Today was like any other day. But again, we played badminton during recess. And then, after school, Hong Wei, Yu Ming, Kian Wei and I went to Yu Gene's place. We played computer almost all the while. But Yu Gene's mother asked us to stop after a while and go play some board or card games. We chose Uno. We all distorted the rules so that Kian Wei didn't have a good time. For taking too many cards at one point, we ordered him to take half the deck. Evil, right? Then, Yu Ming sabotaged himself. When I put a draw 3 card, he stared at Kian Wei's cards and asked him to put down a draw 3 too. Yu Ming was doomed. 6 cards for him... Anyway, everyone had a wonderful time.

part 1 of extended recesses 8:11 PM

Today, thanks to some people, the whole school enjoyed an hour of recess. But the day didn't start with that. I found out what the certificate was for. I did some collage which is currently in the school foyer. But there was no group!!! It was individual. I should be keeping all the certs.

We had 6 periods in the music studio and that meant aircon. We were supposed to prepare a graduation song. Most of the boys disliked the proposed songs. We had no choice. Now, we have to "sing" 'At The Beginning'. The apostrophe because we're pretending to sing. Anyway, Mrs Teo passed around a sheet of paper for everyone to write words of wisdom to the other batches of GEP in Rosyth. Many ideas came storming into my mind. For instance, "Never drink coke with mentos." But I'm not telling the whole world what I wrote.

Anyway, when Mrs Toh came in, she was inviting people for a party on Friday. No one wanted to go at all. We could spend that time wisely studying at home. But I took a consent form. Later, it was recess. We decided to play badminton in the IBC. And then, played captain's ball with the girls. Finally, I returned loyally to badminton when Lewis Low Jie Qi came by.

Of course, it was time to humiliate him in front of his friends. I succeeded nicely but regretted later. He got angry when he was teased and attacked someone with the shuttlecock. Argh, doom!!! The guy took my tube of shuttles and chased Lewis who was holding my expensivest racquet. Lewis returned later but the guy didn't. Nvm, I shall not say what happened to the tube. That's all in school.

Another interesting day 2:00 PM

Today started with a pupil appreciation thing during assembly. And guess what? My team won the first prize for the CME competition. I don't know what I'm talking about. Seriously, I don't know what it's all about. I don't remember such a thing. It's alright... I got something for nothing. Good deal, eh?

I just hated the pupil appreciation thing. It was eating into our PE periods. But thankfully, we had a sweet Mrs Toh who allowed us to play captain's ball. She didn't even ask us to do warm-up. Gosh! The boys vs girls game rocked. We thrashed them by a huge huge margin. But we should be good sportsmen. Honestly, I was the worst cheater. I snatched the ball from some people. And I walked with the ball. Actually, I didn't. The ball was in the air when I walked. It's not cheating. It's being smart. Sigh, that was our last PE in Rosyth.

As expected, jumble sale was really terrific. The P6s managed to raise $7460. But I thought it was for Rosyth School Pocket Money Fund or something like that. Instead, it's going somewhere else!!! Nvm, we don't get the money anyway.

quite usual 11:29 PM

Nothing interesting happened today... There was no Sunday School so we went straight to church. After that, we came back and watched Charlotte's Web. It was quite funny although I watched it once already. Lunch time!!! It was KFC for the third time in 4 days. I was getting sick of it. Nvm, I took it as a chance to fatten myself. That's about all for today... Boring, I know.

jumble sale 7:16 PM

Jumble sale turned out to be a huge success for all of us. But for our stall, it was a smashing success. No one believed the cute lower primary kids would love our game. Ram, Yu Ming and I had almost no rest since the first class reached the hall. After advertising a little, the queue lengthened and we got busy. The upper primary was not really that wonderful. It was not bad either. Sadly, the girls' stalls were not flourishing so well. Unfortunately, as expected, pellets went missing, Matthew gets angry and I will be doomed on Monday. But I don't care. I had fun. Yay!!! Both GE classes collected $920.50 which is almost a fifth of the target set by the teachers. It is obvious that we will meet their target.

And evil Rebecca shot me with the gun!!! I didn't get angry. It was perhaps her revenge for betraying our peace treaty at Shan Wei's party. Other people also shot me with the gun accidentally and purposely. Matthew was supposed to be the one to get shot on purpose but he was playing Runescape at home. Sigh, today was really fun...

two great days 3:25 PM

The camp in the zoo was unexpectedly very fun. We had nice facilitators but some teachers weren't really nice... We reached and heard teachers nagging for a few minutes. Then, it was time to MOVE IT!!! We went to meet Yeng Yen and Isaac, the wonderful facilitators. We were the only group with two facilitators. Anyway, we are Inuka, a polar bear with bazooka. Lame... After getting to know us, it was time to show off our cheer to everyone else. It went like this: OI! OI! OI! OI! OI! Unfortunately, the right to choose which group had tea first went to the teachers. Of course, Omar, a group consisting entirely of girls, was awarded the right. Everyone jeered with hatred for those sexist teachers. In the end, we were fourth to go for tea but sadly, there was no more grape juice. We cursed...

Next, we saw some cool creatures. Obviously, everyone was clicking their cameras but a lot of flashes were caught. Flash photography was disallowed. Hmm, after that we strolled to some place to take a shower. Some boys, including me, managed to jump the queue cos we were brought to another place. After the shower, many of us were shocked when we saw each other with spiked hair. Mine wasn't cos it was too short... On the way back, we managed to see Inuka, Sheba, Omar, Winnie, Jippie and some others.

It was time to makan makan... There was nuggets, chicken and rice. Apple was the fruit... When dinner was over, we headed to the Night Safari. There was this fishing cat trail which was quite boring and then, the tram ride, which was quite ok.

After that, the Creatures of the Night show... We were in for a little treat by some ang moh clowns when the show hadn't started yet. They startled us by encouraging everyone at the show to do a wave. Everyone was unenthu at first but later, we began to be amused. Finally, a zookeeper came and asked them to have a seat. They should have put those clowns in an enclosure.

We went back to the auditorium to have supper and then, we went to the pavillion by the lake to sleep. At first, it was stuffy but later, it became alright. None of us actually slept well... Morning came and some evil animals decided to wake us up by screaming loudly and we woke up an hour before schedule.

Breakfast was scrambled eggs (bad), hash brown (good) and sandwiches (neutral). Inuka got to feast on breakfast first because we sang a cheer loudest. Then, we had a behind the scenes tour of fragile forest. We got to touch a caterpillar, stick insect and madagascan hissing cockroach. The caterpillar was super soft, the stick insect was very ticklish cos it was poking us and the roach was quite unusual.

Then, 15 minutes of fun was what we had but that wasn't enough. We were playing when suddenly, some girls came by and tried to shoot us... with their cameras. We escaped... The flying fox thing was addictive but fun.

Anyway, we went for the second behind the scenes and got to capture many creatures on our cameras. But we got to touch a white snake too... Lunch was next! It was KFC. Pepsi was the first thing I didn't like. The chicken tasted weird but the whipped potato was fine. We were so full. Then, the teachers allowed us into the gift shop for some time. Everything was super expensive! But I bought Inuka, the polar bear.

Then, on the bus, we bullied the girls in front of us... I took many photos but the software is on the CPU which is being repaired so your patience is appreciated.
